In a hot housing market, homes priced between $1 million and $2 million have seen a 27 percent increase in closings in the past year, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Gene Taylor, executive vice president for Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, says the substantial increase makes sense – it is a great price point for the move-up buyer as well as the downsizer. And people relocating to the Metroplex also favor homes in this price range.
